Keeping the Unity
“In essentials unity, in non-essentials liberty, and in all things charity.” St. Augustine
The greatest threat to the church today is the same as it has been in every generation since the New Testament was written: Quarrelling. It kills within, like “friendly fire.”
In Rom 13:12-14 Paul put quarrelling in the same category as orgies, drunkenness and sexual immorality.
So...how do we keep the unity but not necessarily have uniformity? What does the Bible have to say about this? And why is this important?
