Joyce Rolston

Joyce was born in Singapore but moved to Vancouver with her family when she was 15 years old. She first attended Bakerview Chapel church in Richmond, where she met her husband, Terence. She received her degree in Pharmacy and became a community Pharmacist, which she is still doing today.

She grew up in a Christian home and has had faith in Jesus Christ from a young age.  At age 40, she attended bible study fellowship for about 10 years and this was the most transformative part of her life as a Christian, leading her to Regent college in 2012 where she received her MA in theological studies. At about the same time her husband became president of Focus on the Family and they benefited from the teachings regarding marriage and raising children.

She and Terence were married in 1989 and have 3 adult children- Melissa, Cherylyn and Joshua.  They both enjoy RV-ing and have driven as far as Yukon. They find the solitude in wilderness rejuvenates and helps them to be in tune with God and with one other. They also love getting together regularly with their children and their spouses and enjoy taking trips with them.

In 2018, she and Terence started attending ECC and she was able to do her internship with Regent at ECC with a focus on women’s ministry.  During this time, she led a Thursday morning bible study and organized events such as the women’s brunch and the ladies Christmas tea. The pandemic resulted in the zoom bible study which went on for about 2.5 years.  After receiving her masters, she worked briefly as a Chaplain at Baptist Housing as well as interning at Minoru care home in the CPE program. She is currently working as a pharmacist.
