Elaine was born in Manila, Philippines and moved to Richmond at the age of 16.  After graduating from Steveston Secondary, Elaine completed a Bachelor of Commerce degree in marketing at UBC.   After working five years at a tech company, Elaine returned to school completing a Master of Christian Studies and then a Masters of Theology at Regent College.   

She finds it a joy to serve and encourage people to draw closer to Jesus and grow in their faith.  She has taught Sunday school, led small groups and helped out a variety of other ministries.   She enjoys conversations with others about how the truth of scripture can be applied to our life and culture today. 

Elaine is happily married to Dwight and is mom to two active boys, Evan and Derek.  Besides being a busy mom, Elaine also works as an educational assistant at the Richmond Christian Elementary School.   In her spare time, Elaine loves to read British mystery novels and enjoys - her guilty pleasure - watching Korean tv dramas.
