Cherylin was born and raised in Richmond, attending ECC since age 12. Over the years, she has worked alongside youth/students in the community and school settings and with kids/adults with learning challenges. At ECC she has been involved with youth, music and children for many years and joined the staff as Administrator in Fall of 2017.

Cherylin met husband Mark at ECC and they have been married since 1998, with 3 children (Kalia, Micah & Kiana). As a family they enjoy getting outside, adventuring on the mountains and on the ocean, as well as being at home together.

Since becoming a mother in 2003, Cherylin has dedicated much of her time to raising her children, including homeschooling for many years – a grand adventure! While she enjoys simple pleasures such as alone time with a book and good coffee or a run on the dyke, her passions are family, good relationships and connecting with others in meaningful ways.

She would say a keystone of her life is COMMUNITY – being in relationship with others and sharing life together on our journeys. The community of Emmanuel has been an important family to her, where people have faithfully loved, celebrated and encouraged her over the years.
