Things change so fast due to the Covid virus. I recently read this from a pastor in Quebec and thought it was so well put, I wanted to repeat it to you.
So, can I ask you to allow me, your pastor, to gently remind you:
“Following Jesus is not about demanding our rights
or winning arguments.
It's not even about 'having our say'.
It's definitely not about social media doom-scrolling.
Following Jesus IS about
laying down our rights
taking up our cross
worshipping our God
and loving people
in whatever circumstances we find ourselves.
We can do this. We can.
We can be light in darkness ... even now.”
